SPRING 2012 IUP TROMBONE STUDIO NEWS
The IUP Trombone Studio welcomes trombone great Harry Watters!
Harry Watters will be performing a joint recital with IUP trombone professor Christian Dickinson on Saturday, February 4th, 2012. The recital will be in Gorell Recital Hall on the IUP campus and begin at 8pm. Admission is free and open to the public.
William Cramer Trombone Choir premiers Derek Cooper composition.
IUP alumnus and trombone studio member Derek Cooper wrote a new composition based on the "Navy Hymn" for the International Trombone Festival in Nashville, TN. The group was comprised of college professors and professional trombonists and was conducted by John Marcellus of the Eastman School of Music. Enjoy the video of the premier!
